Summer Surprise

Reviews

Pleasantly old-fashioned romance (and I mean that as a compliment) with nice characters working out their feelings over a summer vacation. That’s what Summer Surprise is on the one level. On the other, it’s about self-image and self-assumption and sorting out long-held notions and which ones are worth retaining. The character names surprised me a bit but I suspect that’s cultural (the story is set in the US and I’m not!)

The only thing that I would change about this story is it is too short. Wonderfully written, the author draws you in to the characters on the first page. Real life issues, romance, conflict, finding who you are. For a short story this has everything needed to make it a great read.
