I just finished reading this book and all I can say is “I wish there was more”. I have read several of Mr. Coopers books, and this one did not disappoint. It has everything, mystery, romance, action…..I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I love the twists and turns that is incorporated in the book, and how the mystery is solved is brilliant. Well done sir, I can’t wait till your next book comes out.

Darcy Greenwood is shocked to learn her husband, Art was killed during a mugging but, becomes even more shocked to learn that he was secretly investigating a national security conspiracy going on at his place of employment. After her home was ransacked during the funeral, Darcy discovers that the mugging was just a cover for murder and goes on a campaign to learn the truth about her husband’s death. Needing someone on the inside, she turns to Aaron and soon their relationship goes beyond just getting to the truth. After Darcy is framed for murder, she changes her appearance and moves in with Aaron and their relationship turns romantic while they continue to uncover the details involving the conspiracy. “The Reluctant Private Eye” is a well-written dramatic, romance who-done-it. The easy writing style of Curtis A. Cooper provides the reader with a dramatic love story with just enough suspense to make it a real page-turner. I highly recommend “The Reluctant Private Eye.” A definite thumbs up!
