This is without a doubt the best of the three Heart books. Although somewhat bold in the plot it captivates you right from the beginning. The characters are real, the story intense. Well done Mr. Cooper. I will be recommending this to my friends.

Martha lands her dream job—a caring nurturing boss who mentors her in the field, a salary higher than she had ever hoped for,  travel to exciting places, meeting with exciting people. When her boss makes moves on her, Martha feels like she’s falling in love, but somehow, something is missing from the relationship. She breaks it off, but finds herself broke, working in a coffee shop, with another mentor, but this time the shop owner is more interested in her development as a good person, than as a lover. Calling on her love of reading, Martha joins an on line chat group of mystery aficionados. There she meets a man who professes to be a budding writer, & they become on line friends. By the time she learns that her friend is actually a famous writer who happens to have writer’s block, she is determined to help him. He, in turn, is determined to pay her for her ideas, & even give her a dedication in the book they are working on. I won’t give any more of this one away, but I loved it. The way they bounce ideas off each other & learn how to make the book a blockbuster, is told through emails, If you ever want to write a book yourself, you’ll like how this one develops.
